Been looking for the dates of your local NAP (Neighbourhood Action Panel) meeting with Essex Police and can’t find any information?
Well that may be because in Southend NAP has changed its name to Local Community Meetings (LCM). Dates are now published on Essex Police website using the new name and along with the name change will involve some merging of wards, but retain the 8 week time cycle. The meetings are an opportunity for people who live or work in the neighbourhood (an area that is usually defined by the borough ward boundaries) and for those who provide a service to that local community to meet together with the Essex Police Neighbourhood Constables and have input on issues which matter to those who live and work in the area. The meetings are open to all residents although it’s probably most relevant and informative to attend those arranged for the area (neighbourhood/wards) where you live.
We’ve also added upcoming dates to the Community Calendar on the SOPA website.
A list of the revised ‘ward’ grouping is yet to be published, contact Steve Bright firstname.lastname@example.org for more details.
